This paper presents the developed switched reluctance motor drive for various applications. The various applications related to motoring and generating operations are described. The block diagram schemes of applications are discussed for various control strategy, basic requirements, sensing techniques and torque speed characteristics. The survey of applications with various manufacturing industries is given. The performance of controller and control strategies for various applications are compared. The Switched Reluctance Motor Drive has compared with conventional motors related to various applications and its suitability.Keywords
